Brian Leiter announces with pride that his co-edited volume The Oxford Handbook of Continental Philosophy is now available. Based on the stellar list of contributors, I have to say it looks terrific. Of course, "available" is a relative term. Amazon has it listed for $153.

I can't help finding it depressing that Leiter seems to attract such interesting contributors because I would dearly love to never own anything with his name on it. The essays by Carman, Gutting and Rosen all look particularly interesting so when it comes out in paperback I will probably shell out for it.
Even in paperback, at 800 pages it'll probably cost $70 or so. But just think – you'll get free shipping!
oh, the savings!
I suspect that Gutting's contribution could equally well have been titled "What Is Missing from This Volume?".
